According to Blaqbonez, he has been friends with his fellow musicians Fireboy, Asake, Superboi Cheque, Yhemolee, and Zamorra since their early days at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ife, Osun State.

During that time, Zamorra and Asake often assisted Blaqbonez in the studio, lending their exceptional vocals for background harmonies.
