Caribbean wicketkeeper Joshua Da Silva shares a heartwarming story of how Virat Kohli brought immense joy to his mother’s life, making it a day and a year to remember.

In a social media video shared by the BCCI, Da Silva revealed an amusing incident where his mother came to the venue not to see him but to meet the Indian talisman, Virat Kohli.

According to Da Silva, his mother jokingly informed him two days prior to the Test match that she would be there to witness Virat Kohli’s presence rather than cheering for her son.

To everyone’s surprise, fate played its part, and Kohli happened to be on the bus at that very moment.

“In the video, he described how he went up to the window and gave it a knock.

As soon as he did that, Kohli came out and graciously greeted his mom, bringing immense joy to her day, and possibly even making her entire year.

The heartwarming footage captures the moment when Kohli shares a smile with Da Silva’s mother, and they share a warm embrace, showcasing her evident excitement and happiness at meeting him face to face.”

In the second Test, India displayed commendable batting performance, managing a total score of 438.

The standout performance came from Virat Kohli, who emerged as the top scorer.

He received valuable support from Yashasvi Jaiswal (57), captain Rohit Sharma (80), Ravindra Jadeja (61), and Ravichandran Ashwin (56).

On the other hand, the Windies’ bowling effort was led by Kemar Roach and Jomel Warrican, who each claimed three wickets.

After a somewhat uneventful Day 3 on Saturday, marked by intermittent rain interruptions, the hosts find themselves at 229/5.

They are trailing by 209 runs. Opener Kraigg Brathwaite put up a noteworthy performance, scoring 75 runs, while Jadeja contributed with a couple of wickets to India’s cause
