Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, a buzzing Nigerian rapper known by his stage name Odumodublvck, recently provided a comprehensive explanation of his actions at the recent LASU concert, where he appeared to be “running away.”

The rapper became the subject of banter on Twitter among Nigerians following a musical concert organized by socialite Poco Lee on Wednesday, July 13, 2023, at his former university, Lagos State University.

The event drew a massive crowd and featured an exciting lineup of artists from across the country, including Bella Shmurda, Young Jonn, Yhemo Lee, Hotkid, Smada, Odumodublvck, T Dollar, and many others.

Despite the thrilling performances, videos began to circulate online documenting incidents of disorderliness and even violence at the concert.

Odumodublvck’s video, showing him jogging away from the crowd, garnered significant attention as social media users mocked him for supposedly fleeing from danger, possibly from cultists, despite his confident and boastful persona.

During an appearance on Cool FM’s The Big Friday Show as a guest, the rapper, who was also nominated for a Headies award, clarified that he was not “running away” as the trending video suggested.

Instead, he explained that after concluding his performance, he was simply trying to move away from the crowd as quickly as possible.

The rapper hailing from Abuja is set to unveil his highly anticipated album later this year.

Odumodu also shared details about his upcoming project, which will consist of a total of 14 songs.

He has already treated fans to several tracks, including “Declan Rice,“Dog Eat Dog (Remix)” featuring street-hop artist Bella Shmurda and alternative music star Santi, as well as “Fire Gun” featuring afrobeats sensation Fireboy DML.

These releases have been met with impressive streaming numbers.

In addition to his musical achievements, the rapper recently received a notable endorsement from the English Premier League team Arsenal for the acquisition of English football playmaker Declan Rice.
