The Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, has extended warm wishes to Muslims as they commemorate the birthday of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Mohammed, during the February 25, 2023 election.

Obi has called upon the Muslim community in Nigeria to use this period for reflection and seek Allah’s assistance in addressing the numerous challenges faced by our beloved country.


He expressed his heartfelt felicitations to all Muslim faithful in Nigeria as they observe Eid-El Maulud, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.


This occasion once again offers us the opportunity to engage in contemplation as we request the Prophet’s intercession for divine intervention in the myriad challenges that confront our nation from all angles.


Nigeria grapples with several issues, including noticeable disunity among its people, widespread poverty, high unemployment rates, and elevated insecurity levels.


Today, let us unite in prayer for enduring peace within our nation.

In accordance with the teachings of the Holy Prophet, let us consistently extend brotherly love to our fellow countrymen and women,

particularly those who are less fortunate, regardless of their ethnic or religious backgrounds.


In conclusion, the former Anambra state Governor extends warm wishes for a joyful Eid el Maulud celebration to all Muslim faithful.
