Elon Musk Sets Temporary Reading Limits Per Day On Twitter

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has implemented temporary restrictions on the social media platform in response to significant data scraping and system manipulation. In a recent announcement posted on his Twitter page, Musk stated that verified accounts will be limited to reading 6,000 posts per day.

Additionally, unverified accounts will have a limit of 600 posts per day, while new unverified accounts will be restricted to reading 300 posts per day. These measures have been put in place to address the current challenges faced by the platform.

“On Saturday, in response to excessive data scraping and system manipulation, we have implemented the following temporary limitations:
Verified accounts can now read up to 6000 posts per day.
Unverified accounts are limited to 600 posts per day.
New unverified accounts are restricted to 300 posts per day.”
Musk tweeted this statement after the social media platform experienced a worldwide outage.

As millions of users worldwide experienced a significant global outage, hindering thousands of individuals from accessing the social media platform, his clarification emerged.

According to the outage monitoring website ‘Down Detector,’ over 7,000 users registered problems with Twitter.
