On Saturday, Lionel Messi, the captain of Inter Miami, shared his joy upon winning his inaugural trophy with the club.

Inter Miami, led by Messi, secured victory against Nashville in the Leagues Cup final through an exhilarating penalty shootout at Geodis Park.


The Argentine captain ignited the game with a remarkable long-range shot during the opening half.
However, Fafa Picault of Nashville equalized in the second half, scoring from close range, resulting in a 1-1 draw after the regular 90 minutes.


In the penalty shootout, Inter Miami clinched the Leagues Cup title with a 10-9 win.
During the shootout, Messi successfully converted his penalty kick.


In response, Messi took to Instagram to express his excitement, hoping that this triumph marks the start of many more trophies for Inter Miami.

He wrote, “CHAMPIONS!!! So delighted to secure the inaugural title for this club.

Dedication and hard work from everyone made it achievable. Hopefully, this is just the beginning… Let’s go @intermiamicf!!!!”
