Naira Marley was never appointed as an ambassador,” clarified the NDLEA.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) clarified its collaboration with music artist Afeez Adeshina Fashola, also known as Naira Marley,

aiming to utilize his influence to discourage substance abuse among his millions of followers and Nigerian youths.

Naira Marley visited the NDLEA headquarters to express his readiness to combat drug abuse.

The Agency emphasized that Naira Marley is not appointed as an NDLEA Ambassador, and their intention is to have him share anti-drug messages on his platform.

The decision aligns with the goal of reducing drug demand alongside supply and adheres to the global approach against drug abuse.

NDLEA questioned why they should not embrace someone who wants to change and reach out to their followers with a positive message against substance abuse,

highlighting the importance of encouraging Naira Marley’s commitment for the well-being of the youth.
