PDP criticizes APC-led government, stating that over 150 million Nigerians under Tinubu’s leadership struggle to afford daily meals

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) suggests that the nation is coming to a standstill with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the helm.

Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the Party, issued a statement on Monday through which he conveyed that the leadership of Tinubu has led to a perceived absence of effective governance in the country.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has raised an alert about the current state of Nigeria, stating that it is facing significant challenges and is on the brink of stagnation under Senator @officialABAT and the All Progressives Congress (APC) (@OfficialAPCNg).

The party expressed concern that the APC’s leadership, headed by Tinubu, lacks the approval and support of the citizens.

This has resulted in a sense of governmental void.

The PDP expressed distress over the disconnect between the government and the citizens,

which has arisen due to hastily executed policies that have resulted in extreme hardships, heightened insecurity, and a widespread sense of unease.

This situation is jeopardizing the nation’s unity and stability.

The party criticized the administration’s approach to economic policies, particularly the removal of subsidies and the currency devaluation,

citing their adverse effects on the cost of living, business closures, job losses, and increased poverty, hunger, and insecurity across the nation.

Furthermore, the PDP expressed deep concern about the government’s lack of responsiveness to the security concerns of the citizens.

They highlighted incidents of violence in various states, the abduction of citizens, and even the downing of a military aircraft, noting that the government’s response has been inadequate.

The PDP also noted a significant decline in life expectancy under the APC’s governance.

They pointed out that Nigerians are living in fear due to the prevailing insecurity and highlighted the government’s questionable involvement in conflicts abroad.

In conclusion, the PDP urged Nigerians to remain calm, law-abiding, and supportive of each other as they strive for a secure and prosperous nation.

They warned that if the current issues are not promptly addressed, they could escalate into a severe crisis.
