Wayne Rooney, the former Manchester United striker, has advised Harry Kane that the current moment presents an opportune time for him to depart from Tottenham.

Bayern Munich made two offers for Kane during the summer, but both were turned down by the north London club.

As the England captain’s contract with Tottenham will expire in just one year, he has indicated that he will not be extending his stay.

At the beginning of the summer, Manchester United initiated discussions with Tottenham to determine the availability of Kane.

Despite Tottenham’s reluctance to sell their key player, the club set a valuation of over £100m for Kane.

Rooney, recognizing Kane as an “ideal” fit for United, suggests that he should make the move away from Spurs this summer.

Rooney conveyed to the Athletic, “During the previous season, I believed it was the appropriate moment for him to depart, but he chose to remain.”

“Undoubtedly, Harry must be sensing that too, realizing that there are championships awaiting him elsewhere. He has made every effort to remain loyal to Tottenham.”

“At this point, it appears that the timing is appropriate for him to embark on a new journey, and it seems he is prepared for that.
